scott-flamm- MD, MBA

Dr. Scott Flamm is the PIA Medical Director and board certified Radiologist with fellowship training in Cardiovascular Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He serves as Head of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic with joint appointments in the Imaging Institute, Heart and Vascular Institute, and the Pediatric Institute. Dr. Flamm is a former President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and served as a Board Member of the North American Society of Cardiac Imaging. He has served on the Editorial Boards of Circulation, Radiology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Open Magnetic Resonance Journal, and the Texas Heart Institute Journal. He has authored and co-authored over 150 scientific publications and is recognized by US News as a US top doctors top 1% doctor.

scott-flamm- MD, PHD

Dr. Eike Nagel is the Director of the Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging; Consultant Cardiologist, University Hospital Frankfurt, Germany.

A world-recognized opinion leader in cardiac imaging. For more than 25 years he has been using cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging to diagnose problems of the heart or the vessels noninvasively. Career steps include the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland; the German Heart Institute Berlin, Germany and the King’s College London, UK were Prof. Nagel led the Department of Cardiovascular Imaging. Since 2015 he heads a new Research Institute for Cardiovascular Imaging at the University Frankfurt where he also leads the Interdisciplinary Cardiovascular Imaging Service of the hospital. Prof. Nagel has developed stress tests for magnetic resonance imaging, which are now in use world-wide, holds several patents on imaging methods, and has authored more than 300 publications and 30 book chapters. He is Past-President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and serves on various research committees and editorial boards. His main interest is Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Computed Tomography, specifically for heart failure, ischaemia, viability, myocarditis, cardiomyopathies, left ventricular hypertrophy (athletes, pathologic LVH) and early detection of cardiac abnormalities.

scott-flamm- MD, FASE

Dr. Brian Soriano focus is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine, he earned his MD from the University of Toledo, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residencies at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and his Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. He spent an additional year in Boston for a senior fellowship in Noninvasive Imaging. He is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and General Pediatrics. He attends and consults on inpatients at Children’s. His clinical research interests include cardiac MRI and advanced echocardiography imaging such as 3-D echocardiography.

Board Certified in Radiology, Dr. Mitsumori holds a Master’s of
Science in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and a Doctor of Medicine from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Mitsumori completed
his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a body imaging fellowship at the University of Washington. After completing training, he continued in academia as a staff radiologist and associate professor at the University of Washington with a subspecialty focus in cardiovascular imaging. He has recently joined a physicians practice with the Straub Clinic and Hospital to be closer to his family.


richard-wohns- MD, JD, MBA

Dr. Wohns is an alumnus of Harvard College where he received a Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry. He attended Yale Medical School, University of Washington Business School and Seattle University School of Law, and for the past 20 years, has been an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. He has held positions at professional societies including serving on the Ethics Committee for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and being Vice President, and now President of the Western Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Wohns is a member of multiple medical and climbing associations, an expert consultant to several organizations, and has authored many articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals plus chapters in medical books.  Several of the articles include “firsts” in outpatient spine surgery. 


In February 2011, he was rated one of the 100 Best Spine Surgeons and Specialists in America and in February 2010, one of the 50 Best Spine Specialists in the United States by Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review. In 2014, Dr. Wohns was listed as one of the “40 Smartest People in Healthcare.” Dr. Wohns has taken his expertise worldwide, sharing knowledge with fellow physicians and helping thousands of patients to return to their daily life and activities throughout his career in spine surgery. 



scott-flamm- MD, PhD

Dr. Jeffrey Maki is a professor of radiology and the director of body MRI at the University of Washington. He specializes in cross-sectional imaging of the body using CT, MR and ultrasound. He has a strong interest in new magnetic resonance technologies and their application to oncology, cardiac and vascular MRI. Dr. Maki directs the UW cardiovascular MR program and performs research on cardiac MRI, MR angiography, MR contrast agents and novel MR imaging techniques.

Dr. Maki divides his time between clinical care reading primarily oncologic and cardiovascular MR and CT examinations, teaching trainees (residents and fellows), and performing research. He has been with the University of Washington system since 1998.

Dr. Maki is board certified in diagnostic radiology with advanced fellowship training in MRI. He is the recent past president of the MR Angiography Working Group. Dr. Maki is a member of numerous radiological societies, and teaches and presents research throughout the world. He was listed as one of Seattle’s “Top Doctors” by SeattleMet in both 2012 and 2013.

Kert Anzilotti M.D resized- MD, MBA

Kert Anzilotti, M.D., M.B.A, is Chairman of the Department of Radiology, Medical Director of Imaging Services and Physician Leader of the Neurosciences Service Line at Christiana Care in Newark Delaware. In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Anzilotti continues to practice neuroradiology at Christiana Care.
Before assuming the job as Chairman, Dr. Anzilotti was a neuroradiologist in the department for more than two years. He also practiced neuroradiology at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut prior to joining Christiana Care.

Dr. Anzilotti earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1996. He was named Intern of the Year during his internship in primary care at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He also was a resident in diagnostic radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and served as Chief Resident from 1999 to 2001. During his subsequent fellowship in neuroradiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital he was named Fellow of the Year.

Dr. Anzilotti completed his MBA at the University of Delaware in 2011 while continuing his clinical practice and role as Chairman. Kert completed the Managing Health Care Delivery Course at the Harvard Business School in 2014 and the Physician Executive Fellowship in the Health Management Academy, GE Fellows Program in 2016.

Dr. Alan Pitt is a Professor and Attending Physician at the Department of Neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Pitt did his undergraduate work at Stanford University. He received his medical degree at the University of Arizona. He did a research fellowship in molecular biology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He completed post graduate clinical training in Neurology and his residency in Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his Neuroradiology fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified by the ACR, with CAQ in Neuroradiology. He is a senior member of the ASNR. Along with several patents, Dr Pitt has contributed to numerous scholarly presentations, books and research papers. His current interests center on health IT related initiatives relating to value based care delivery. He received a $100,000 innovation grant from Dignity Health and most recently, as a co-investigator, a $250,000 grant award from Watson Health.

Dr. Edward A. Gill is a professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado’s Department of Medicine. He is also Affiliate Professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. . He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Ultrasound, at Seattle University in Washington. Dr. Gill has particular interests in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Radiology, Echocardiography, and the Journal of Clinical Lipidology.

He has published extensively in journals, authored chapters of cardiology textbooks, and co-authored several books. He is author of Atlas of 3D Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography, and also of the National Lipid Association. Dr. Gill is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He is board certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine and holds special board certifications in Echocardiography, Lipidology, and Nuclear Cardiology

Dinesh Kalra, MD is Director of the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Program at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He has been practicing as a Cardiologist since 2002 and has extensive expertise in multimodality imaging. He holds advanced certifications in Cardiac MRI, Cardiovascular CT, Nuclear cardiology, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound.

He is a recipient of the American College of Cardiology (ACC)/Merck Research Award in 2000 and the Young Investigator Award (AACIO) in 2002. In 2015, he was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of the ACC. He has been listed on multiple occasions in the top doctors in the Chicago-land area.

He is very active in the education of medical students, residents and fellows, and on the international level, by serving on the Board of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography education committee. He is widely published and has authored many peer-reviewed original articles, book chapters and reviews in major journals, and serves on the editorial board of several journals. He lectures regularly on the role of imaging in various cardiovascular disorders. He is a part of Rush Heart Center for Women’s Imaging research program. He is passionate about using advanced imaging technologies to help prevent the development of more advanced disease. In this regard, his research is focusing on imaging of atherosclerotic plaque features and regression in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular areas, new lipid therapies, pulmonary hypertension and neurogenic orthostatic hypotension.
