Mary-Pierre Waiss has over 25 years of experience in the field of non-invasive cardiac imaging. In her most recent endeavor as Vice President of Clinical Affairs at VentriPoint Diagnostics, she developed a highly specialized clinical team tasked with intellectual property development, clinical trials, luminary development and customer training. Prior to her time at VentriPoint, she was a research scientist in the Cardiovascular Research Lab at the University of Washington where the technology licensed by VentriPoint was developed. Ms. Waiss is a member of the American Heart Association and a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Scott D. Flamm is a board certified Radiologist with fellowship training in Cardiovascular Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and serves as Head of Cardiovascular Imaging at the Cleveland Clinic with joint appointments in the Imaging Institute, Heart and Vascular Institute, and the Pediatric Institute. Dr. Flamm is a Fellow of both the American Heart Association, and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Flamm also has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Flamm is Past-President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, and served as a Board Member of the North American Society of Cardiac Imaging. He has served on the Editorial Boards of Circulation, Radiology, International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Open Magnetic Resonance Journal, and the Texas Heart Institute Journal, and has authored or co-authored over 150 scientific publications.

Christian Teague has been involved in radiology for over 20 years. It was over that period of time that he was able to gain vast experiences in diagnostic imaging as well as research. He managed imaging data throughout the world both in a HIPPA compliant, as well as Part 11 compliant manner. After graduating from Loma Linda Medical University with an emphasis in Nuclear Medicine he began his career working at large research hospitals such as UCLA Medical Center where he became accustomed to the world of research.

He channeled all of his vast experiences into Co Founding RadCore Labs. This unique company served the imaging core lab needs of small to medium sized sponsors and CROs. It has been his primary goal to push the boundaries of research and healthcare technology in an attempt to improve efficiencies across all workflows involving Radiology. This was the primary driving force to joining the PIA medical team. Almost immediately after joining our team he has begun instilling in all of our potential customers his vast experiences in healthcare and clinical trials. He has thrived in helping large organizations improve their imaging capabilities, throughput and profitability. He will now leverage his vast experience and network of connections to educate the imaging world about PIA.

Chuck Roxin is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), a designation held by less than 10% of management consultants in the US. Born into a family business, he has worked in and managed all business functions including quality control, financial analysis, customer service, COO and CEO.

He has consulted to all segments of the healthcare industry and supply chain, from major service suppliers such as Caremark, insurance companies like Cigna, hospital systems (ViaHealth), medical packaging (Bowater/Rexam), clinics, physician practices and the NIH. He helped develop and implement the first comprehensive Quality and Productivity Improvement initiative at the Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester.

He is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis, Institute of Management Accountants and other professional organizations.

Mr. Canfield is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with an MBA from Washington University in St Louis, Missouri. After 8 years as a Naval Aviator flying A-6 Intruders, Jim Canfield spent 16 years with TALX Corporation, now an Equifax Business Unit. In 1996, Jim was the System Engineer designing the first Internet-based benefits open enrollment system. He eventually became Vice President of Product Management responsible for all business aspects of the Employee Services division of TALX.

Tom Waiss is experienced in finance and accounting with over 30 years in the computer/software industry. He has developed and supported service strategies at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. Tom has experience building new business lines and consulting practices within these companies.

philipClinical Research Manager

Philip Trinh has been actively involved with the healthcare community since 2008. He has proficiency in a wide variety of cardiac post-processing software programs and in a multitude of imaging modalities including cardiac ultrasound, magnetic resonance, and computed tomography. Mr. Trihn is an experienced clinical project leader with strong skill in the design, implementation and enforcement of clinical and scientific SOPs.

Sam Alkek has been working in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging and research since 2007. Mr. Alkek has diverse cardiovascular lab, imaging, training, manufacturing and research experience with a focus on MR, CT and echo image analysis and 3D reconstructions. He has supported the applications and successful issues of FDA 510(k) clearance, written extensive SOPS and training protocols and is a tremendous asset to the Precision Image Analysis team.

Robin Foote is an experienced business executive, consultant, private investor and corporate director. She currently serves on the Boards of Avalara, Inc., OtoNexus Medical Technologies and Saturna Trust Company, and on the Advisory Board of Kineta Therapeutics, Inc.  She is President of St. Paul’s Academy’s Board of Trustees and past Treasurer and Board member of the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation.  Previously, she has served as a Director of more than a half-dozen public and private companies (all of which have been successfully sold or merged) as well as on the Boards of a wide variety of volunteer organizations.

In her corporate career, Robin was an early pioneer and ongoing champion of the use of analytically derived insights to create customer and shareholder value, leading development and implementation of programs and initiatives that collectively contributed billions in bottom-line benefit over time. She began her consulting career with McKinsey & Company, and subsequently pursued a career in financial services, culminating in her appointment as Group EVP and CMO for Bank of America in 1997.  Following the merger with NationsBank, she opted to return to consulting and established her own firm (Randolph Partners) which she subsequently merged into Novantas, LLC, where she served as a partner through 2012.

Ms. Foote graduated magna cum laude from Smith College with a degree in Economics and with High Distinction and as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School, where she was also inducted into the Century Club.

scott-flammCaitlin Cameron is a highly accomplished senior executive with 30 years’ cross-industry expertise in the Life Sciences, Biotech, Technology, and IT industries and is a specialist in building successful start-up companies and taking them through to successful exit. Ms. Cameron is Chair of the Board and CEO of OtoMetrix Medical Technologies, which is commercializing an ultrasound medical device to instantly and accurately diagnose middle ear infections, primarily in children. Previously, she held Chair and CEO positions at several Life Sciences and IT companies, building successful businesses and organizations, creating value and maximizing potential in a very short period of time. In addition, she has built organizations known for employee satisfaction, including being selected for the 100 Best Places to Work in Washington. She is an Angel investor, and has led several Due Diligence reviews. She has also performed analyses and consulting in the areas of management and leadership, business plans, investors, marketing plans, and strategic plans.

Dr. Marton has over 40 years of experience in nearly all aspects of American healthcare. After beginning in academia – Stanford (Asst. Professor), Harvard (Assoc. Professor), UCSF and OHSU (Professor) – Dr. Marton held leadership roles in several health systems, including Chief of Graduate Education and Research for CHW, VPMA for St. Mary Medical Center in SF, and CMO for Legacy Health System and Providence Health & Services. He has extensive experience in clinical redesign, clinical quality improvement, physician integration, technology assessment, and leadership development. He has co-authored 2 books and published over 50 articles on a variety of topics, including clinical decision making. He is presently an Executive in Residence for the Health Management Academy and is on the board of 1 health system. (Providence Health Care)

Nadia Crandall is an entrepreneur and investor in early stage businesses.    She is currently Chair Emeritus of Harvard Business Angels of London, which she co-founded in late 2011.    HBSA has built a portfolio with a value exceeding £200 MM, with around 20% of companies showing superior to exceptional growth.   Nadia also manages her own holdings of early-stage businesses, with interests in medical technology, education and renewable energy and is actively engaged with several in an advisory and non-executive capacity.  Nadia has also chaired an expert group for the World Bank, advising on renewable energy projects in developing countries.   For the past few years she has given her time as a mentor for the Said Global Entrepreneur Challenge and the Althea-Imperial Program.

Prior to this, Nadia co-founded Postscriptum in 2005, a diversified venture business with a broad portfolio of investments in start-up and special situations.  She chaired Aldwych Holdings, which develops, owns and operates power generation, transmission and distribution projects in Africa.   She was also executive director for Alban Energy and for Continental Wind Partners, which developed and built utility-scale wind farms in Eastern Europe and Australia.   In addition, she was acting CEO for Retna, a media company.   In her early career, she worked on Wall Street with Morgan Stanley and Shearson Lehman where she helped develop institutional markets for new financial products.

Nadia has an MA from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bill Canfield

– CHAIR OF THE BOARD, MBA

Mr. Canfield has been an entrepreneur since 1968, after working seven years at IBM. He has started or purchased an interest in several computer-related companies that performed business process outsourcing benefiting various industry segments.

Mr. Canfield served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of TALX Corporation (NASDAQ:TALX) from 1988 to 2007.  TALX IPO’d in 1996 and in 2007 Equifax purchased TALX where Mr. Canfield remained President and CEO until 2010 when he retired.

Dr. Eike Nagel is the Director of the Institute for Experimental and Translational Cardiovascular Imaging; Consultant Cardiologist, University Hospital Frankfurt, Germany.

A world-recognized opinion leader in cardiac imaging. For more than 25 years he has been using cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging to diagnose problems of the heart or the vessels noninvasively. Career steps include the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland; the German Heart Institute Berlin, Germany and the King’s College London, UK were Prof. Nagel led the Department of Cardiovascular Imaging. Since 2015 he heads a new Research Institute for Cardiovascular Imaging at the University Frankfurt where he also leads the Interdisciplinary Cardiovascular Imaging Service of the hospital. Prof. Nagel has developed stress tests for magnetic resonance imaging, which are now in use world-wide, holds several patents on imaging methods, and has authored more than 300 publications and 30 book chapters. He is Past-President of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and serves on various research committees and editorial boards. His main interest is Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Computed Tomography, specifically for heart failure, ischaemia, viability, myocarditis, cardiomyopathies, left ventricular hypertrophy (athletes, pathologic LVH) and early detection of cardiac abnormalities.

Dr. Brian Soriano focus is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine, he earned his MD from the University of Toledo, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residencies at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and his Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. He spent an additional year in Boston for a senior fellowship in Noninvasive Imaging. He is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and General Pediatrics. He attends and consults on inpatients at Children’s. His clinical research interests include cardiac MRI and advanced echocardiography imaging such as 3-D echocardiography.

Board Certified in Radiology, Dr. Mitsumori holds a Master’s of
Science in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and a Doctor of Medicine from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Mitsumori completed
his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a body imaging fellowship at the University of Washington. After completing training, he continued in academia as a staff radiologist and associate professor at the University of Washington with a subspecialty focus in cardiovascular imaging. He has recently joined a physicians practice with the Straub Clinic and Hospital to be closer to his family.

 

richard-wohns- MD, JD, MBA

Dr. Wohns is an alumnus of Harvard College where he received a Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry. He attended Yale Medical School, University of Washington Business School and Seattle University School of Law, and for the past 20 years, has been an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. He has held positions at professional societies including serving on the Ethics Committee for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and being Vice President, and now President of the Western Neurosurgical Society. Dr. Wohns is a member of multiple medical and climbing associations, an expert consultant to several organizations, and has authored many articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals plus chapters in medical books.  Several of the articles include “firsts” in outpatient spine surgery. 

 

In February 2011, he was rated one of the 100 Best Spine Surgeons and Specialists in America and in February 2010, one of the 50 Best Spine Specialists in the United States by Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review. In 2014, Dr. Wohns was listed as one of the “40 Smartest People in Healthcare.” Dr. Wohns has taken his expertise worldwide, sharing knowledge with fellow physicians and helping thousands of patients to return to their daily life and activities throughout his career in spine surgery.

Dr. Edward A. Gill is a professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Washington’s Department of Medicine, and an adjunct associate professor within the Department of Radiology. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Ultrasound, at Seattle University in Washington. Dr. Gill has particular interests in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Radiology, Echocardiography, and the Journal of Clinical Lipidology.

He has published extensively in journals, authored chapters of cardiology textbooks, and co-authored several books. He is author of Atlas of 3D Echocardiography He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Echocardiography, and also of the National Lipid Association. Dr. Gill is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.

Dr. Jeffrey Maki is a professor of radiology and the director of body MRI at the University of Washington. He specializes in cross-sectional imaging of the body using CT, MR and ultrasound. He has a strong interest in new magnetic resonance technologies and their application to oncology, cardiac and vascular MRI. Dr. Maki directs the UW cardiovascular MR program and performs research on cardiac MRI, MR angiography, MR contrast agents and novel MR imaging techniques. Dr. Maki divides his time between clinical care reading primarily oncologic and cardiovascular MR and CT examinations, teaching trainees (residents and fellows), and performing research. He has been with the University of Washington system since 1998. Dr. Maki is board certified in diagnostic radiology with advanced fellowship training in MRI. He is the recent past president of the MR Angiography Working Group. Dr. Maki is a member of numerous radiological societies, and teaches and presents research throughout the world. He was listed as one of Seattle’s “Top Doctors” by SeattleMet in both 2012 and 2013.

Kert Anzilotti M.D resized- MD, MBA

Kert Anzilotti, M.D., M.B.A, is Chairman of the Department of Radiology, Medical Director of Imaging Services and Physician Leader of the Neurosciences Service Line at Christiana Care in Newark Delaware. In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Anzilotti continues to practice neuroradiology at Christiana Care.
Before assuming the job as Chairman, Dr. Anzilotti was a neuroradiologist in the department for more than two years. He also practiced neuroradiology at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut prior to joining Christiana Care.


Dr. Anzilotti earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1996. He was named Intern of the Year during his internship in primary care at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. He also was a resident in diagnostic radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital and served as Chief Resident from 1999 to 2001. During his subsequent fellowship in neuroradiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital he was named Fellow of the Year.


Dr. Anzilotti completed his MBA at the University of Delaware in 2011 while continuing his clinical practice and role as Chairman. Kert completed the Managing Health Care Delivery Course at the Harvard Business School in 2014 and the Physician Executive Fellowship in the Health Management Academy, GE Fellows Program in 2016.


Most recently Dr. Anzilotti has been appointed interim President, CEO and Chair of the Board for the eBrightHealth ACO. In this role, Dr. Anzilotti has responsibility for the physician leadership and network operations of the ACO which includes close to 300 primary care physicians from five health systems covering almost 48,000 lives statewide.
